The correct flow of nitrogen is of paramount importance to the reliability and repeatability of the selective soldering process.
Pillarhouse have introduced a mass flow sensor to provide display and alarm information for the nitrogen usage on the machine and to ensure that the correct flow is present at the critical nozzle tip position. The flow is displayed on the PillarCOM screen in litres per minute.
Flow sensors are recognised as an accurate method in determining the flow rate of nitrogen. Unlike pressure monitors they will also alert the operator to a flow restriction e.g. blocked pipe.
