The AP1 solder nozzle system offers the most flexible of all of the selective soldering processes they are available. This applicator is able to solder single components and/or rows of pins in X & Y axes and diagonally.
Variations based on the AP1 tip design have evolved:
The extended AP1 tip gives greater access to soldering points that are near or next to taller components. (large capacitors etc)
The jet-tip has a higher central solder wave shape which overcomes the problems associated with soldering components with longer legs and can be used to solder points that are in close proximity to surrounding components.
The AP1 series of solder nozzle tips are designed for quick change and are suited to all production needs.
AP-1 (All purpose) nozzle tips are available in various sizes 2.5, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12mm.
Extended Tips and Jet Tip nozzles are also available up to 25mm dia.
